Pesticides All Around
This week in Silent Spring we read about the effects pesticides have and how they appear almost everywhere due to blanket spraying. This article posted talks about the effects of pesticides and how they are still being used for non-specific spraying in public areas and are causing harm to not only people but also other living creatures without the public even being aware of it until after the fact.

Like mentioned in class, there is definitely something to be discussed about how all organisms on earth are connected in a web of life. Starting with the lowest organisms on the food chain, if the soil is contaminated, it will continue on up to the organisms on top, i.e. humans. Public policy leaders need to frame answers to these issues with a mindset that focuses on the future, and the generations to come.
