San Diego: 11th Worst Ozone in the Nation
Sure, LA had the worst ozone problem in the country in 2013, but that doesn't mean everyone else can breathe easy. The American Lung Association's 2013 State of the Air report lists San Diego as the urban area having the 11th worst ozone problem in the nation. Also, 10 of the top 13 ozone problems in the nation are in California, with #2 - #6 all in the Central Valley. Notice the cluster of markers in the map of air pollution violations at right.

I was wondering what causes the ozone problem in California. After searching, it seems that main pollutants come from cars, buses, trucks, and construction vehicles. I was a little surprised to realize that the ozone pollution in San Diego is worth than New York, since New York is more crowd...
